The Core is the center of the earth. Though many movies have been made no one has actually made it to the center of the earth. It is a mysterious place and there are no shortage of theories about it... just like the middle school years! At Washington Cathedral Student Ministries we strive to help students in grades 6-8 navigate through these critical but tough years of life. Scroll though our page to find out more about what we do!

About us

Who we serve:

Middle school (grades 6-8) students with questions about God, students looking to grow deeper in their faith, students looking for a loving community.

What we do:

Check out our calendar with our Wednesday night activities, special events, camps, and more!

When we meet:

Wednesday 6:30- 8 PM: Games, snacks, core groups (small groups)

Sunday 10:30- 11 AM: We meet together with the high school ministry for a breakfast in the Café. We enjoy a great time with our friends, delicious food, and making connections with caring, adult leaders.

Why we meet:

We exist to introduce students to the person of Jesus, to help students develop a relationship with their creator, and to lead students to become fully devoted followers of Jesus that impact this community and the world.

Where we meet:

We meet in the Barn! It used to be a dairy cow barn and now it is a wonderful place that the teens of Washington Cathedral can call their second home.
